2015: The Blueprint of a Vision

PGHSDS was officially established in 2015 in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Founded by a veteran structural steel detailer with over 15 years of hands-on industry experience, the company was built to bridge a critical gap in the market: the need for incredibly accurate, fabrication-ready shop drawings combined with modern BIM (Building Information Modeling) capabilities.

From day one, we set out to serve the robust construction and industrial sectors of the Tri-State region (Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia), and beyond, establishing a reputation for treating every millimeter with absolute seriousness.

Driving Industry Evolution with Tekla Structures

As structural engineering and architecture grew more complex, PGHSDS invested heavily in cutting-edge technology. By centering our workflow around advanced Tekla Structures BIM software, we transformed how we collaborate with our partners.

Moving beyond flat 2D drawings into intelligent, data-rich 3D models allowed us to catch spatial clashes before steel ever hit the fabrication floor. This tech-forward approach rapidly expanded our reach, allowing us to serve clients not just locally, but nationwide.
